About 125 researchers and educators from throughout the nation — together with a small group of scholars — joined Morton to sign their opposition to President Donald Trump’s choices about Ok-12 and better schooling. Trump has sought to eradicate variety, fairness, and inclusion initiatives, cancel analysis grants, and dismantle the U.S. Division of Schooling.
The group was in Denver to attend the American Academic Analysis Affiliation’s annual assembly, which introduced collectively 10,000 researchers from throughout the nation.
Organizers say they noticed a chance with so many researchers gathered in a single spot to carry the rally, which was not a part of the AERA convention, in a public house to protest Trump’s efforts to exert management over universities and analysis.
