MANILA, Philippines – Round 167,000 prospects of Manila Electrical Co. (Meralco) have been affected by energy outages on account of heavy rains and flooding introduced by the southwest monsoon, or habagat.
As of seven:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the ability distributor stated the vast majority of the affected customers have been in Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Cavite.

“We ask our prospects for persistence and understanding as heavy floods have triggered disruptions in energy companies,” Meralco vp and head of Company Communications Joe Zaldarriaga stated in an announcement.
“Relaxation assured that the protection of our prospects and line crews is our prime precedence and we’ll instantly restore energy within the affected areas as soon as the floodwaters recede and it’s secure to take action,” he added.
