Neither the State nor any political subdivision of the State shall buy or in any other case purchase any small, unmanned plane system manufactured or assembled by a coated overseas entity. No State funds could also be utilized in reference to the acquisition or acquisition of any small, unmanned plane system manufactured or assembled by a coated overseas entity, together with any State funds offered by a contract, grant, or cooperative settlement.
(b) For functions of this part, the next definitions shall apply:
(1) Coated overseas entity. – A person, overseas authorities, or get together that meets a number of of the next standards:
a. Is on the United State’s Consolidated Screening Listing or Entity Listing.
b. Is domiciled within the Folks’s Republic of China or the Russian Federation.
c. Is below the affect or management of the federal government of the Folks’s Republic of China or the Russian Federation.
d. Is a subsidiary or affiliate of a person, authorities, or get together of the Folks’s Republic of China or the Russian Federation.
(2) Small, unmanned plane system. – An unmanned, powered plane that meets the entire following standards:
a. Is operated with out the opportunity of direct human intervention from on or throughout the plane.
b. Could be expendable or recoverable.
c. Weighs lower than 55 kilos, together with the burden of something connected to or carried by the plane.
SECTION 2. This act is efficient when it turns into legislation and applies to small, unmanned plane bought on or after July 1, 2027.
